Orientation

Encountering Stonehill!

Orientation represents a vital step toward your transition into the Stonehill community. Our programs are designed to help you and your family learn more about the academic, social and spiritual resources, opportunities and expectations that you will encounter during your years at the college.

Summer Orientation

Summer Orientation allows you to meet your fellow classmates and become familiar with our academic programs, including course selection and registration. There are many events and activities to learn about social life on campus, including in-depth presentations by Residence Life, Campus Ministry, Intercultural Affairs and Community Standards. Parents also have the opportunity to attend a one-day orientation program to help them learn more about college resources and hopefully answer any questions they may have now that they are part of the Stonehill community as well. To view a sample schedule of events and activities that typically occur during Summer Orientation, please explore the links to the right.

2011 Summer Orientation Sessions

  • Session I – Monday and Tuesday, June 20 & 21
  • Session II – Thursday and Friday, June 23 & 24

Fall Orientation

Fall Orientation has a different tone compared to the summer program and occurs approximately four days before the start of school. Fall Orientation is meant to provide the necessary elements that we feel all new students should be familiar and confident about before they begin classes.
